ALBION AGREE FEE FOR ROBERTS
WEST BROMWICH ALBION have agreed a £2 million fee with Bristol Rovers for transfer-listed striker Jason Roberts.
The 22-year-old will now discuss personal terms at the Hawthorns along with taking a medical with the Midlands outfit, before completing his move.
If Roberts, nephew of former West Brom legend Cyrille Regis, does sign for West Brom it will break The Baggies transfer fee paid for a player, surpassing the £1.25 million paid for Kevin Kilbane from Preston in 1997.
It will also be a record fee received for Rovers, beating the fee that Fulham paid for Barry Hayles.
