REAL SEAL DOUBLE DEAL
REAL MADRID have finally completed the double signing of Deportivo La Coruna midfielder Flavio Conceicao and Celta Vigo's Claude Makelele.
The duo have signed six-year contracts with the big-spending European Chamions, who had already made five additions to their squad this summer, including world record signing Luis Figo.
Brazilian international Flavio has cost £15.1 million after leaving the Liga champions, while French midfielder Makelele has cost £6.7 million.
The club have said that these will be the last signings of the summer, although they did not rule out further exits, placing fresh doubt on the future of Steve McManaman, who has been linked with Middlesbrough.
"The squad is practically closed to new signings now," admitted director Jose Martinez Pirri. "There will be more players sold or loaned out, though, as we look ot get the size of the squad down."
