GUTI REJECTS MILAN OFFER
The vice-president and chief of operations respectively are looking to reinforce the centre of midfield, which the Serie A side has decided is the weakest link to a possible championship triumph.
Having already signed Fernando Redondo, Milan were also looking for a player to compliment his sublime skills and a 3,000 million pesetas offer (£10.88 million) had been talked about.
However, Guti has talked down any prospect of a move with the revelation that he wants to play in Madrid for the rest of his career. He has ordered his agent Zoran Vekic that he does not want to listen to any offers made for him.
Vekic revealed that there had been interest for his client from Italy but Real could be ready to offer a contract extension to Guti's deal that is due to run out in 2002.
