WEAH SCORES BUT CITY CRUSHED
In the 11th minute it was 2-0 when Tony Dinning fired in a free-kick and City's cause was not helped when Alf-Inge Haaland was an enforced substitution after committing three late tackles.
Early in the second half Karem Erdin headed in a Dinning cross to make it three but Weah got the goal the visiting fans wanted when he headed in a Mark Kennedy cross on the hour.
Dinning got his second of the match to give the scoreline a more realistic edge.
Ian Harte continued his goalscoring streak by firing in the opener as Leeds beat local rivals Huddersfield 2-0 at the MacAlpine stadium. Harte curled in a trademark free-kick in the ninth minute although The Terriers had started the brighter of the two sides.
Good work from newboys Mark Viduka and Olivier Dacourt set-up Lee Bowyer to blast home from the edge of the box.

Goals from Les Ferdinand and Tim Sherwood gave Tottenham a 2-0 win over QPR in Danny Maddix's testimonial game.
Southampton beat Wolves 2-1 but it was trialist Sami Al-Jaber who stole the show and left the game to cries of 'sign him up'. Andy Sinton got Wolves off to a great start, scoring in the fourth minute but Marian Pahars equalised and Hachan Kachloul pounced on a defensive error to give The Saints an undeserved victory.
However, Southampton also appear to have injury worries as Uwe Rosler had to be helped off the pitch after picking up an ankle injury.
The Foxes came back into it in the second half and Ade Akinbiyi scored to make it 2-1 only for Stewart Barlow to convert a 79th minute penalty to end the scoring.
Ipswich overcame Dutch side AZ Alkmaar 2-1 with David Johnson grabbing both goals for the home side whilst Paul Bosman netted for the visitors.

Brighton shocked Sheffield Wednesday by running out 2-0 winners against the First Division side, goals by Garry Hart and Darren Freeman continued the Yorkshire side's dismal pre-season form.
