BRADFORD EYE £1 MILLION WARD SWITCH

BRADFORD CITY have been linked with a £1 million move for Blackburn Rovers striker Ashley Ward.

The Bantams are keen to build on last year's dramatic relegation escape from the Premiership on the final day of the season, and have been strongly linked with former Aston Villa star Benito Carbone, and may be looking to bring Ashley Ward into the club as well.

Ward has not had the impact at Blackburn that he would have wanted, and with Matt Jansen's impressive pre-season, may not figure in Rovers manager Graeme Souness' plans this year.

The 29-year-old has scored 13 times in 58 games since his £4.5 million from Barnsley - the club where he really established his reputation after maintaining a scoring record of a goal in almost every two games.
