McFARLAND SLAMS ASHBEE RUMOURS
CAMBRIDGE UNITED boss Roy McFarland has slammed rumours that star striker Ian Ashbee is set for a move to London with Queens Park Rangers.
24-year-old Ashbee, who bagged a brace in The U's emphatic 6-1 triumph over Rotherham, had been linked with a move to QPR, but it seems the stories were erroneous.
"There's a lot of spoof stories around, said McFarland. "You don't want to believe half of it.
"I've not had any contact from QPR about the lad."
