NAPOLI CHASE BARI KEEPER
Bari had told Napoli that they could have the 31-year-old if they met the 10 billion Lira asking price (£3 million) but Napoli had flatly refused to pay this much.
They had then offered 5 billion Lira for Mancini but the clubs seem unable to agree on a fee and the keeper looks set to stay with Bari.
Napoli were also linked with a move for Mark Bosnich, who is out of favour at Manchester United and now looks to be third choice at Old Trafford.
This move now looks unlikely as Bosnich wants to stay and fight for his place at United and, with the new injury to Fabien Barthez, Sir Alex Ferguson will not want to be left short of goalkeeping cover.
