BERGKAMP REVEALS CHAMPIONS LEAGUE DESIRE

ARSENAL striker Dennis Bergkamp has given his strongest indication yet that he plans to end his illustrious playing career with the Gunners.

The 31-year-old Dutchman, who is expected to sign a new two-year extension to his contract at Highbury, has revealed that he wants to win the Champions League with the North London giants before he hangs up his boots.

The former Ajax and Inter Milan star, who joined Arsenal in 1995, feels that he can achieve everything he wants for the rest of his career with the Gunners.

"I want to dedicate the last seasons of my career to Arsenal," Bergkamp said.

"The decision to stay is based on the belief that we can achieve something very big. I haven't won enough just yet. That's why I am so determined to remain with Arsenal for the rest of my time in football.

"I don't want to win just any old trophy at this stage. I want to win the big one. I am focused on winning the Champions League.

"When we have done that, I will retire with a contented heart."
