LITMANEN SET FOR SHOCK RETURN
Underfire Barca coach Llorenc Serra Ferrer has called up Litmanen, despite the fact that his club have told him he is no longer wanted.
Having excelled at Ajax, Litmanen has entered a footballing wilderness in Barcelona, similar to former Liverpool star Steve McManaman who's role at Real Madrid remains uncertain.
Litmanen was brought to Spain by current Dutch international coach Louis Van Gaal but like many of his foreign purchases has had little chance to shine in Camp Nou.
When questioned about his call-up, Litmanen replied: "Well, as Barca played so bad on Saturday against Real Sociedad, the coach has called on me to improve things in the Champions League."
The Finn was referring to the 6-0 demolition of Sociedad which saw Barca six goals to the good at half time and the Spanish giants will be going into the Milan game full of confidence.
