HENRY IN LOVE WITH LONDON
The fleet-footed World and European Cup winner also thought that England defender Martin Keown had a grudge against him, by constantly targeting him in training, but he later found out that practice is treated like a match day.
Henry admitted that it was difficult to adapt, saying: "It is obvious, that during the first two months, I didn`t feel good. Perhaps I dreamt too much of the club.
"I came into a new country with new team-mates but, moreover, I had to learn everything I have about football, because Arsene asked me to play in the centre."
He revealed how he won over his team-mates, saying: "When I started to score, I felt my team-mates change towards me.
"In fact, here, they do not care about labels or knowing you are the World Champion. They don`t take you seriously if you don`t help the team."
Henry admitted his surprise at the physical aspect of the Premiership, saying: "During my first match, I got blows everywhere. It was like a true battlefield. But I learnt to control myself and, above all, to stop moaning."
He also revealed how he was the recipient of special attention from Keown, saying: "Here you play in training sessions as a match and he never missed me. So much so, that I first thought he had something against me."
Henry spoke of how well he has adapted to life in London, saying: "I have found in this club and this town all that I was looking for. I am not at home here, but I am comfortable.
"I felt that I lost the desire to play in Italy as much as I never stop to have fun here. I really love this town."
The 23-year-old`s brother, Willy, echoed these sentiments, saying: "When he played in Turin, or Monaco, he always returned to Paris on his off days. Now I only see him for French team gatherings."
