ROCHDALE GET LEE ON LOAN

CHRISTIAN LEE has gone on loan from Gillingham to Rochdale on loan as the third division side look to increase their attacking options.

Lee is a 24-year-old striker and at six foot two will add some height and pace to Rochdale's attack, something that manager Steve Parkin (pictured) desperately needs.

The player joined The Gills from Northampton in the summer of 1999 in a deal that had to be decided by a tribunal, at £35,000.

However, his move went sour when he suffered a knee injury that required complex surgery and kept Lee out for a couple of months, having failed to battle his way back into the first team, the loan period will allow him to get his match fitness back.

Meanwhile Gillingham sent defender Barry Miller to Doncaster for £10,000 and in a busy day for the South Yorkshire club they got West Brom keeper Elliott Morris on loan whilst Stephen Halliday has re-joined Carlisle on a two-year deal.
