JORDAN JOINS CARDIFF
Alan Cork has moved to bring the son of former Scotland, Leeds, Manchester United and Milan favourite Joe to Wales, in a bid to increase his defensive options.
Jordan struggled to establish himself at Ashton Gate after his father left the managerial post, despite being highly regarded by the coaching staff when signing professional terms in December 1997.
The Scotland Under-21 international has suffered from a number of injury problems which have hampered his attempts to establish himself as a first team regular.
However, at the tender age of 20, the move gives Jordan the opportunity to make a fresh start at Ninian Park.
"It is unfortunate, because we didn`t want to lose Andrew,Ç¥ said Bristol City`s Danny Wilson.
"But the player held all the cards. If he didn`t play 30 games this season, we would have lost him on a free, and in five games` time that would have become inevitable.
"It`s a disappointing situation, but the clause was the only reason Andrew signed a new one-year contract.
"There has been no problem with Andrew and he has been a credit to himself but he has now exercised his right to move on."
