DUDEK ISSUES ULTIMATUM

JERZY DUDEK has threatened to leave Feyenoord unless they give him some clarification on his future, news that will rekindle talk of a move to Premiership club Arsenal.

Dudek, who was also targeted by Manchester United before the purchase of French international Fabien Barthez, is contracted until 2003, but has informed the club, through agent Jan de Zeeuw, that he wants his achievements to be recognised.

The 27-year-old Polish international is reportedly wanted by Arsenal to eventually replace David Seaman, and speculation has been rife about the talented custodian since last year.

De Zeeuw admits that his player is growing tired of the talk, saying: "Jerzy is not some ideal son-in-law who will do anything the club want.

"Maybe there is a game being played, but we do not know which game."
