BRIDGES BLOW AFTER OP
The 22-year-old was stretchered off in Istanbul after falling awkwardly and it later emerged that he had damaged his calf as well as his ankle.
It was feared that he could be out for as long as six months with the injury, but he has now had an operation and, although Leeds will not confirm how long he will be absent, Bridges is expected to spend four months on the sidelines.
Leeds manager David O'Leary confirmed: "Michael's injury was in a terrible state when we took another look on Monday and he could be out for some time."
He joins David Batty, Harry Kewell and Michael Duberry on the long-term injury list.
