WENGER ADMITS FEAR OVER DUDEK REBUFF

Arsenal now find themselves in something of a goalkeeping crisis with David Seaman joining reserve keeper Alex Manninger on the sidelines and veteran goalkeeper John Lukic taking over in goal.
Wenger admits that he can play Lukic for one or two games but that he is only a short-term solution as he is too old for a lengthy run of action.
The highly rated Dudek, who was voted the best goalkeeper in last season's Champions League, was offered to the Gunners three weeks ago but Wenger thought he had enough cover in that position so decided to refuse the offer.
"We were offered Dudek and found him to be a very good goalkeeper," said Wenger. "But we decided we didn't need another goalkeeper.
"But now we are confronted with an exceptional situation and I recognise that John can only be a short-term solution for us.
"This situation can only go on for one week or two weeks. If Seaman and Manninger are out for three or four weeks then we'd have to look at the situation again."
