INTER TARGETING ROMARIO
Inter boss Marco Tardelli is said to have the ambitious plan of teaming up Romario with fellow Brazilian Ronaldo when he recovers from injury.
The 34-year-old Romario is currently playing for Vasco de Gama and although his contract runs until next December, a move back to Europe may well be of interest to him.
The Brazilian press reports that the former Barcelona and Valencia front man would relish the chance to go back to Europe, as it would increase his chances of getting into the national squad for the 2002 World Cup.
Any possible deal would be completed at the end of this year so he could be registered to play in the second half of the Serie A season. The Milan giants would also double his current wages to tempt him to Italy.
The capture of Romario would add to an already impressive front line at Inter, providing the likes of Ronaldo and Christian Vieri can get back to full fitness.
