MALDINI SET FOR ANOTHER MILESTONE

This is the second milestone within a month for Maldini, after he made his 113th appearance in a Azzuri shirt - breaking Dino Zoff`s record.

The San Siro giant will give the left back a gold medal to commorate the occasion at the Ennio Tardini.

Maldini played his first match in Serie A on January the 20th, 1985 at Friuli Stadium, where Milan drew 1-1 with Udinese. Eight months later the left-back made his first appearance in the European Cup against Auxerre.

In his illustrious career, Maldini has won 6 scudetti, 3 Champions League, 2 Toyota Cups, 3 European Supercups and 2 Italian Supercups.

The 32-year-old has often said that he would like to end his career as World Champion, and hopes to lead his country to glory in Japan and Korea in two years time.
