KOLKKA THE TOAST OF PSV

Finnish international Joonas Kolkka was the hero, bagging goals in the 10th and 90th minutes to end Vitesse`s brave resistance.

The 26-year-old proved to be the toast of many of the 32,000 crowd, as he ensured PSV maintain their title challenge.

Vitesse remain top, however, with Feyenoord in second place, three points adrift. PSV are third, four points behind, with a game in hand.

Highly-rated striker Anthony Lurling struck for Heerenveen in their 1-1 draw with Sparta Rotterdam, Michael Langerak replying for the visitors.

RKC Waalwijk hammered Utrecht 4-1 thanks to efforts from David Nascimento, Rick Hoogendorp, Zeljko Petrovic and Darije Kalezic. Dirk Kuytz bagged Utrecht`s consolation.

NEC Nijmegen saw off Graafschap courtesy of Patrick Ax and Georgi Hristov, with Martijn Meerdink`s goal coming too little, too late for the away side.

Regillio Vrede was the matchwinner for Roda JC as they defeated Fortuna Sittard 1-0.
