ZIDANE AGAIN LINKED WITH BARCA

ZINEDINE ZIDANE'S agent, Alain Migliaccio, has revealed that he expects the French superstar to leave Juventus at the end of the season with Barcelona again leading the chase to sign him.

Zidane has come under fire at the Delle Alpi because of his poor form this season and the fans have held him responsible for their exit from the Champions League at the first hurdle.

"Juventus won't let him go in mid-season because he's a very important player," said Migliaccio. "But in June he'll surely have more chances to leave.

"The player has said many times already that he'd love to go to Spain and that he'd be interested to play in the Primera Liga. He would love to go to play for Barcelona if it would be possible."

The former Bordeaux star had claimed earlier this week that he wanted to stay with Juve and see out his contract but it seems, with all the criticism that he is getting from the club's fans, he may decide to move on.

Barcelona's long-term transfer target Javier Saviola has also hinted that he may fancy a move to Camp Nou from River Plate in Argentina.

The 19-year-old Argentinean international striker has been the subject of a couple of failed bids from the Catalan club but the player has now claimed that he would like to move to Barca if he did decide to move on from River Plate.

Meanwhile Barca's injured captain Josep Guardiola has revealed that he will not open talks with the club over a new contract until he has recovered from injury in February.

The 29-year-old's current contract expires at the end of the season and the Spanish giants had offered to extend the player's contract for a further five years, but Guardiola has refused to enter into negotiations until he is back playing.

The Spanish international is aware that these talks are important as it will probably be the last contract he signs and he is looking to weigh up all his options.

Guardiola has been linked with a number of clubs across Europe but one club he won't be joining is arch-rivals Real Madrid.

The playmaker had been rumoured to be a target of Madrid to join up with former team-mate Luis Figo at Santiago Bernabeu, but he has shot down any possibility of any such move.

"To go to Real Madrid does not interest me," said Guardiola. "I do not have the desire.

Guardiola also doubted whether the Champions League holders would be interested in signing him.

"Florentino Perez and Jorge Valdano are too intelligent to think about signing me, if they got rid of Redondo because he was thirty they will not want to sign another player of the same age and addition someone from Barcelona," said Guardiola.
