PLEAT REVEALS COMINGS AND GOINGS

DAVID PLEAT has revealed that it is a case of one Frenchman in and one out at White Hart Lane, whilst suggesting that young goalkeeper Martin Brennan could be heading for Charlton.

Ludwig Norbert has asked to be released by Spurs and Pleat has confirmed that this request has been granted.

"Ludwig is a talented player but failed to settle," said the club`s director of football.

On the way in is forward Ghyslain Vedeux, who links up with the Academy at White Hart Lane and could be a name to watch out for in the future.

Keeper Brennan is being released by Spurs and Charlton are expected to follow up their interest in him after enquiring about his availability.

Pleat also added that ex-Dulwich Hamlet striker Dave McEwen has rejected the opportunity of a loan move to Kettering Town, and there have been several clubs trying to sign Gary Doherty on a temporary basis.

The former Sheffield Wednesday boss also wasted little time in rubbishing tabloid reports on Sunday that Spurs have targeted Kevin Phillips and Manchester City made a bid for Chris Armstrong.

After previously denying that City had moved for Les Ferdinand, Pleat claimed news of an interest from Joe Royle in Armstrong was merely "paper talk."
