HESP DISMISSES BARCA RETURN

ACCORDING to reports in Spain Barcelona are to turn to former goalkeeper Ruud Hesp, who left the Catalan club to join Fortuna Sittard in the summer, but the former Dutch international has said he does not want to return to Camp Nou.

Hesp was told that he would be third choice behind Frances Arnau and Richard Dutruel and so chose to return to his native Holland and re-signed for Sittard - the place he began his career in 1987.

And despite Fortuna being bottom of the league KPN Eredivisie, Hesp is still in very good form and Barca have seemingly been impressed by the 35-year-old`s form.

But the shot-stopper himself has said: "Of course I read that Barcelona have got a keeper problem, but I am definitely not the solution for that problem. I certainly won‚ÇÖt go back."

Llorrenc Serra Ferrer is desperate to find a new keeper as both Dutruel and Arnau struggle for form.
