GOMA TO MISS OUT ON FRENCH RETURN
Goma has made it clear that he wants to leave St James' Park and was hoping to return to the team that sold him to Newcastle 18 months ago.
However, the French club are unlikely to pay the £4.7 million that the Magpies would want for the 28-year-old international.
PSG would welcome the strength and experience of Goma at the back but have spent £50 million in the summer, half of that sum on Nicolas Anelka, and would also be unwilling to match Goma's £20,000-a-week wage demands.
Goma has been in good form for Newcastle lately and was awarded the player of the month award for October but has missed the couple of games with a calf strain.
He may return for the Worthington Cup tie against Birmingham on Wednesday but will still probably want a move away from the club.
