ROSSI'S DOUBLE RED COSTS PARS DEARLY
The SFA have announced that the disciplinary report sent in on the Pars defender, following his actions in the 3-2 defeat by Dundee United, show that he was sent off twice.
He received one red card for his foul on United's Beto Naveda, his second bookable offence, and then clocked up another red card for his gesture at the Tannadice fans as he walked to the tunnel.
Rossi, 26, automatically missed the game in midweek with Hearts, but now he also has to sit out Saturday's trip to Parkhead to face SPL leaders Celtic and the visit to second-placed Hibernian next week.
Rossi has been dogged by bad luck since coming to Scotland from French club Rennes during the summer. A knee injury delayed his debut until a few weeks ago against Rangers and now, after just 135 minutes of action, he is back in the stands.
Rossi was also sent off after 20 minutes of an under-21 match against St Johnstone last month in his first action in a Pars shirt.
Dunfermline chairman John Yorkston said: "Not only are the club disappointed to lose a player of Youssef's quality, we are disappointed for him. It has been a long hard struggle for him to overcome injury, but he will be an important player in future months.
"Unfortunately, we will miss him against Celtic and Hibs, which are two attractive fixtures all the players look forward to."
However, the good news for Dunfermline boss Jimmy Calderwood is that David Moss, who was also sent off at Tannadice, is free from suspension.
