HATTERS PLAN DOUBLE SWOOP

LUTON TOWN boss Lil Fuccillo is looking at the possibility of bringing in two new faces to the club as he tries to lift his side up the Division Two table.

The Hatters are currently struggling second from bottom of the table and Fuccillo is considering making moves to bring Manchester City's out-of-favour striker Gareth Taylor and Dundee United winger Neil Heaney to Kenilworth Road.

Taylor has found himself frozen himself out of Joe Royle's plans and he would be allowed to leave Maine Road if he can find another club.

Fuccillo is keen to add to his attacking options and he is hopeful of landing the former Crystal Palace and Sheffield United hit-man for free.

"Gareth Taylor might go down the pecking order at the moment," said Fuccillo. "I think our chances of bringing him here are 50:50."

Fuccillo also admitted that he had spoken to Heaney about a return to England and that he is keen to take the former Manchester City and Charlton winger to the club.

"I recently spoke to the player about coming here," said Fuccillo. "I want him here at the club. He would be a good player to have here.

"He's 30, but he's a young 30. He is not someone that you're only going to just get 18 months from, he is a very good player.

The Luton boss is now waiting to hear from the player and his manager at Dundee United before making a move for the player.

"He has to sort out financial affairs in Scotland but I am waiting to here back from him and his manager Alex Smith," said Fuccillo.
