LENNON: I'VE PLAYED MY LAST FOXES GAME
The Northern Ireland international was heavily linked with a move to Parkhead in the summer, after former Foxes manager Martin O'Neill moved north of the border.
He signed a new, improved contract with Leicester at the start of the season, but recently told manager Peter Taylor that he was unhappy, which led to O'Neill being offered the midfielder.
Despite an immediate move not coming to fruition, O'Neill has followed up his interest and will finally get Lennon this week, with the player turning down lucrative fee to secure a move to Celtic.
"I spoke to Peter after training this week and asked to leave the club," said Lennon, who starring role in Saturday's 3-1 win over Leeds could now prove to be his last in the blue shirt.
"He accepted and we came to a deal whereby I agreed to waive the signing-on fees that are due to me.
"I expect the move to go through early next week. Peter Taylor has tried his best to keep me at Filbert Street, but I want to play for Celtic.
"For me, that would be the fulfilment of a long-held ambition."
