VAMPETA WILL LEAVE INTER
Vampeta has had a difficult time since arriving in Italy and managed only a couple of appearances for Inter and the club tonight stated that it was in the best interests of both parties to allow the Brazilian to leave.
Vampeta had earlier spoken to reporters and confessed his feelings that had made him seek out a compromise with the club.
"I am of no use here," said Vampeta simply.
Vampeta arrived at Inter in September and immediately found himself at a club in turmoil. Within a few weeks the coach that signed him, Marcelo Lippi, had been dismissed and his replacement, Marco Tardelli, clearly didn't view Vampeta as part of his long-term plans for Inter.
It is widely predicted in Italy that Robbie Keane will follow Vampeta out the San Siro door. Keane has been linked with a host of Premiership clubs and despite denials from within Inter that Keane is available the player seems a long way from the plans of Tardelli.
Goal scoring has been a problem area for Inter all season and despite Keane making an impressive start to his Inter career under Lippi, Tardelli has yet to give the former Coventry star a chance to shine whilst others have been allowed ample opportunity without delivering.
