DRINKELL ADMITS CITY JOB INTEREST
Drinkell, who is currently out of work, has successful managerial spells with both Montrose and Stirling Albion, who he took to the Scottish First Divison.
The 40-year-old left Montrose in October after undergoing a hip operation and he has been waiting for the right opportunity to get back into the game.
The former Rangers and Coventry forward admitted that he would love the chance to take charge at Carrow Road. "I'd love the chance to bring the good times back to Carrow Road," said Drinkell.
"I have spent six or seven years learning my trade as a manager. But I've always wanted to get back to England because Scotland is something of a closed shop for anyone looking to manage a full-time professional squad.
"I really enjoyed my time at Norwich and have kept in touch through some of my friends I still have in the area. I have looked at things slightly slipping away over the last few years and I would love to get involved in trying to turn them round," said Drinkell.
Meanwhile the Canaries have placed Dutch pair Fernando Derveld and Raymond de Waard on the transfer list.
Both were signed by Hamilton neat the end of the 1999/2000 season but they have failed to impress during their stay in Norfolk.
