DUDEK DREAMS OF BARCA MOVE

FEYENOORD goalkeeper Jerzy Dudek has told Polish television that he dreams of playing for Barcelona, amid speculation that the Spanish giants could be preparing to make a move for the Dutch based ace.

The 27-year-old shot-stopper has been linked with Barca in the past few months along with Arsenal, and Dudek has now admitted that playing in Camp Nou would be a dream.

"All soccer players dream about being with Barca," said the Eredivisie Footballer of the Year. "At some moment of their career they think about being players of Barcelona."

Feyenoord have always said that that they do not want to sell the Polish international, who is contracted at De Kuip until 2003, but all attempts to get Dudek to sign a new deal have failed.

And Barcelona could see Dudek as the perfect solution to their goalkeeping problems which have dogged them all year.  Richard Dutruel and Francesc Arnau are the two senior keepers at Barca, but both have been guilty of errors when given the chance to impress and, with the pair injured, president Joan Gaspart has been looking for a new number one for some time, and Dudek could be the man for the Catalan giants.
