FOWLER: THERE'S NO RIFT WITH OWEN
ROBBIE FOWLER has moved quickly to stem reports that there is a rift between him and Liverpool team-mate Michael Owen - stating he 'gets on well' with the diminutive striker.
Fowler has seen his automatic starting position at Liverpool threatened since the arrival of Emile Heskey, and the striker was recently rumoured to have fallen out with fellow international Owen.
However, the mercurial star denied that there had been any problem saying: "I want to make it clear that I get on well with Michael."
"He's playing at the moment and I am not, but that doesn't make any difference with our relationship.
"The bottom line is that we are both trying to help Liverpool do well and we both want what is best for the club."
