CITY CONSIDER DOUBLE DEAL

JOE ROYLE could be about to open Manchester City purse strings yet again and launch a double raid for Bradford`s David Hopkin and Leeds` Danny Mills.

City shelled out £2.5 million on Leeds striker Darren Huckerby, but the 4-1 drubbing at home to Charlton has highlighted The Citizens` need for new blood.

Scottish international Hopkin moved to Valley Parade in the summer from Leeds for £2.5 million, but the Greenock-born player has failed to settle with The Bantams and could accept a switch to Maine Road.

Royle knows that his midfield department is lacking depth and the news that Kevin Horlock is out for two months is sure to increase City`s urgency.

The other reported target Mills, is currently failing to command a regular starting place at Elland Road and despite a number of very impressive displays, especially in the Champions League, it is still thought that David O'Leary would be prepared to part with the former Charlton ace.

Leeds are still said to be interested in Newcastle's Kieron Dyer and the sale of Mills would help finance any sort of deal for the English international.
