DESAILLY INTERESTING MANY CLUBS

FOLLOWING the claim by French media sources that Paris Saint Germain were trying to lure Marcel Desailly to Parc des Princes, the player`s agent has insisted that other great European clubs are also looking at the classy Chelsea defender.

The World and European champion has been fielded in an unaccustomed left back berth by Blues boss Claudio Ranieri, but he has stated that one of his main career aims is to claim The Premiership title.

Pape Diouf, who represents Desailly, has insisted that there would be a scrum to sign the player if he became available and revealed that he had not talked about him to PSG.

Speaking in L`Equipe, Diouf said: "At the moment, there is not a great club in Europe who is not interested in signing Marcel.

"PSG is one of those great clubs and I saw Laurent Perpere 10 days ago, but it wasn`t for Marcel."

Desailly has apparently been amused by the rumour and claimed that he is `untransferable` to a French club.

PSG have not contacted the player, and with a reported £10 million transfer fee, plus huge wages, he could be too expensive for the capital club.
