MONACO TARGET MORE SIGNINGS
Any deal for Real Madrid striker Samuel Eto'o seems set to fail with the highly-rated Cameroonian forward, who is on loan at Mallorca, likely to remain at the Santiago Bernabeu for the time being.
The Mediterranean island club are keen for Eto`o to move on a permanent basis, but Madrid are demanding a large transfer fee that could scare off Mallorca as well as Monaco.
The reigning Le Championnat champions are believed to have switched their attentions to Romanian striker Florin Raducioiu, who is currently plying his trade with Steaua Bucharest.
Some reports suggest that the former Milan and West Ham United forward has already undergone a medical at the club.
Monaco are also very keen to bring long-term transfer target Frank Leboeuf to the club but there has been no direct contact between both parties.
Former Paris Saint Germain midfielder Benoit Cauet has also been targeted by the Principality side and the Internazionale ace, who has fallen out of favour at the Giuseppe Meazza Stadium under new coach Marco Tardelli, is to ask where he stands at the club before deciding on his next move.
Meanwhile, Monaco goalkeeping coach Jean-Luc Ettori has denied reports that the club have been in contact with River Plate over goalkeeper Roberto Bonano.
River Plate chairman David Pintado claimed that the struggling side had approached them over Bonano but Ettori has denied this.
"Anyway, among our staff we never asked anything," said Ettori.
