TEEN SWEDE HEADS FOR UNITED
IK BRAGE starlet Colo Halit is travelling to England on Friday to hold a trial with Premiership leaders Manchester United, as The Red Devils continue to look to Scandinavia for up-and-coming talent.
After snapping up the likes of Swede Bojan Djordjic and Dane Mads Timm, Sir Alex Ferguson has decided to take a closer look at Brage`s teenage wonder-boy.
"Yes, it is correct," IK media chief Bo Persson confirmed to planetfootball.com. "He is 15 years old and has always played for us."
Halit himself is also ready to grab the opportunity to impress with both hands, but it may well be that United allow him to return to Sweden to continue his development.
"It is a big adventure," he told the local media. "I will train with the side for a week and will also participate in a trial match."
If he is offered a contract, he may have to change his views about his favourite club.
"Arsenal is my favourite team in England," he admitted. "Although United aren`t too bad either."
Meanwhile, United keeper Fabien Barthez will return from `flu in time for Saturday`s Premiership trip to Bradford City.
