GREAVES HAPPY AT HULL

MARK GREAVES is signing a new contract with Hull City, after pledging his future to the Division Three outfit.

The 24-year-old defender has been impressive since joining The Tigers, but he is settled at Boothferry Park and the club are preparing to offer him a new contract in a bid to fend off any interested parties.

"I am a Hull lad and I am happy with the club," he revealed.

"I have spoken to my agent about the money, and I realise that the money is quite tight here, at the moment, but I want to assure the fans that I`m not looking to move on."

Greaves, last season`s Player of the Year, still has time to run on a two-year contract he held at the beginning of last season, but the centre half, who can also play at right back, is likely to be handed a new deal.

Southampton were one of the clubs trailing the player last year.
