FUCCILLO CHOPS FOUR FROM SQUAD
Fuccillo is looking to bring new players in to Kenilworth Road and to clear room in his squad decided Gavin McGowan, James Ayres, Rocky Baptiste and Dean Brennan were surplus to requirements.
McGowan, a 24-year-old defender, joined The Hatters on a free transfer from Arsenal two and a half years ago, but after being a first team regular in his first two years at the club he has been only a bit-part player this season and is thought to be set for a move to Barnet.
Baptiste was signed back in October after scoring a four minute hat-trick for Hayes in their FA Cup first round cup tie by Ricky Hill who thought he could was ready to become a league player at the age of 28.
However, Baptiste has failed to impress in his seven appearances in a Luton shirt and with Stuart Douglas returning from injury and Lee Nogan arriving on loan he has slipped further down the pecking order at the club.
Ayres, 20, has never made a first team appearance for Luton and, after two spells on loan at Stevenage in the last 12 months, he is now on trial at Peterborough.
Brennan, also 20, was a player former manager Hill knew from his days as youth team coach at Sheffield Wednesday and played regularly in the first half of the season, although his appearances have been limited as of late.
One move Fuccillo wants to happen in the near future is to bring on-loan midfielder Adrian Whitbread to the club in a permanent switch from Portsmouth.
