HERTHA PONDER STRIKER MOVES
The Bundesliga side are aware of their need for a new front-man and Reina is believed to top the list. The £3 million-rated Dortmund ace could be heading for the Olympiastadion but his club deny that a deal is done.
"Reina`s contract in Dortmund doesn`t expire before 2000 and he has developed into a starter this season," stated Borussia general manager Michael Zorc.
"It would make no sense if we would transfer him right now."
If `Billy` stays with Dortmund, other avenues will be explored including Collymore, Bayern Munich`s Alexander Zickler and Victor Agali of Hansa Rostock.
Collymore was close to joining Stuttgart recently, and he is willing to consider a switch to Germany, with the prospect of a free transfer away from Valley Parade very high after being told he was surplus to requirements by Jim Jefferies.
Zickler has admitted he may quit Bayern after eight years with the Bundesliga champions while Agali is in a similar position as he looks destined to leave Rostock.
