MORLEY MOVES TO CARLISLE
SOUTHEND defender David Morley is to spend several days on trial at fellow Third Division side Carlisle.
The 23-year-old former Manchester City trainee will train at Brunton Park for several days but it is not yet clear if this is a prelude to a more permanent move.
Carlisle boss Ian Atkins is happy to have the former Ayr player in Cumbria and believes he can be a good addition to the squad.
"He's a big lad who is decent on the ball," said Atkins. "He's just not had a look in this season."
