SHREWS FINALLY CAPTURE REDMILE

SHREWSBURY TOWN have ended the on-going transfer saga concerning Matt Redmile, by signing the defender for £30,000 from Notts County.

Redmile had originally joined Shrewsbury on loan in November, but he had looked to be heading to Third Division rivals Lincoln City this month, when they tabled a £30,000 bid.

However, The Imps board refused to sanction the move for the defender and the deal collapsed, leaving Redmile's future unclear, until Shrewsbury renewed their interest and clinched the signing this week.

The 24-year-old will now be available to make his debut for The Shrews on Saturday, if the game with Cheltenham survives an 11am pitch inspection, as the winter weather reaks havoc with fixtures throughout Britain.
