PROUDLOCK RAP FOR MOORE BITE
Proudlock, 19, has established himself in the Wolves side this season, but has been told to control himself in future by new manager Jones after the incident.
With five minutes remaining in the Division One clash a week ago, Moore blocked a Proudlock run, and was bitten for his efforts, with the young striker's effort drawing blood.
"I have spoken to Proudlock about it and I know what happened," said Jones. "The incident happened in the heat of the moment but I've told him I don't want to see him doing it again."
Moore admitted that he was incensed by the attack, and had to be held back by Pompey goalkeeper Aaron Flahavan.
"There were five minutes to go and he went to make a run across me," said Moore. "I saw him and went to block his run, and then he bit me.
"I couldn't believe it and he drew blood. If it hadn't been for Aaron coming out of his goal to calm me down, I don't know what I would have done.
"I went absolutely barmy and I don't know what got into him. I put it down to the frustration of the match because he had not had many chances, but it was out of order.
"I don't go around biting people and nobody else does as far as I know.
"I've been putting cream on the bite all week and the doctor immediately gave me a tetanus jab and a blood test.
"I'm going to have another blood test in a couple of months to check everything is okay. I am not going to take it any further if everything is alright."
Portsmouth physio James Marshall said: "Darren has been given a blood test as a precaution.
"Proudlock broke the skin and drew blood and Darren has what looks like a love bite on his shoulder, a vicious one at that."
