VAMPETA POISED FOR PSG SWITCH
Vampeta has had a nightmare experience at Inter and he had been made available for transfer after failing to settle at the Giuseppe Meazza Stadium.
Shortly after joining Inter, the coach that brought him to the club, Marcello Lippi, was sacked and it was made clear that Vampeta did not fit in the incoming coach's, Marco Tardelli, plans.
"In Brazil I am a star, but in Italy nobody knows me," grumbled Vampeta before disappearing back to Brazil to find a club to end his anonymous Italian life before Christmas.
The former Corinthians ace held talks with PSG coach Luis Fernandez on Monday and he is expected to sign a deal which will keep him in the French capital for three years.
PSG may be forced to sell one of their non-EU players such as Talal El Karkouri, Godwin Okpara, or Igor Yanovski, who has been attracting the interest of Toulouse, to enable the Brazilian to play for the team.
Inter would like to take PSG's Stephane Dalmat in exchange for Vampeta and the two clubs will meet to thrash out a deal which suits all parties.
The highly-rated Dalmat is expected in Milan on Wednesday to meet Inter officials and to undergo a medical before completing a deal which will keep him at the club for four years.
