INTER IN RACE TO SIGN MATERAZZI
PERUGIA defender Marco Materazzi looks set to stay at the Renato Curi stadium until the summer - after Internazionale failed to agree terms for the former Everton star.
It remains likely that Inter will finalise the signing of Materazzi, but with time running out before the Italian transfer window, the defender looks set to stay.
The problem appears to be a difference in the valuation of the player with Inter offering £6 million, but Perugia expecting £8 million.
Talks will continue on Wednesday, but a compromise is growing increasingly unlikely in the time left.
