ZARAGOZA SNAP UP ROMA ACE GURENKO
REAL ZARAGOZA have completed the loan signing of Belarus captain Serguei Gurenko from Italian giants AS Roma, taking the player to Spain until the end of the current season.
The 28-year-old midfielder joined Roma from Lokomotiv Moscow, but even though he has played several first team games, has found life in Serie A hard going, and therefore welcomed a move to Spain.
Speaking of Gurenko's arrival at the club, Zaragoza coach Luis Costa said: "He has been training with Roma and will arrive in perfect condition. He has the ability to play in many positions, as I've seen him play in at least five. I think he will do well."
Gurenko could now make his Zaragoza debut this Sunday against Rayo Vallecano, but it is expected that he will be given an extra week in order to adapt to life at his new club.
