TILER NOT INTERESTED IN MILLMOOR MOVE
Tiler was placed on the transfer list, at his own request, by Addicks boss Alan Curbishley, and Moore tried to persuade him to move north, but the centre back rejected the offer.
Moore also revealed that a number of Division One teams are considering giving the former Everton defender a lifeline.
Moore said: "I was hoping he would come on loan as he can't get in the side at Charlton at the moment and all his family are from up this way.
"Carl's going to be 31 next week and he's got Premiership experience and had all those games at Everton.
"But he's on massive money in The Premiership and there's a couple of First Division clubs having a sniff at him."
It has yet to emerge who the Division One teams are, but it is rumoured that Birmingham and Barnsley are the interested parties.
The Sheffield-born stopper began his career at Barnsley, making over 80 appearances for the club before leaving to join Nottingham Forest for £1.4 million in May 1991.
Tiler joined The Addicks from Everton for £700,000 in September 1998, but has only made seven Premiership appearances this season.
