EAGLES TO CUT `RAZOR` LOOSE

CRYSTAL PALACE defender Neil Ruddock has been placed on the transfer list, after asking to leave Selhurst Park.

The former England international, who once cost Liverpool £2.5 million, grew unsettled with The Eagles, despite the team`s impressive resurgence in form.

Manager Alan Smith, who had been critical of 32-year-old Ruddock, has informed the defender that he will be allowed to move on, as and when a suitable offer comes their way.

Ruddock may look to remain in the south, his spell on Merseyside was the only one in his career in the north of England, as he has previously played for Tottenham (twice), Millwall (twice), Southampton, Queens Park Rangers and West Ham.

The decision was taken by mutual consent, despite `Razor` only making 26 appearances for Palace, since arriving at the club in the summer.
