FOREST JOIN RACE FOR REGGAE BOY

NOTTINGHAM FOREST are set to join the race for Jamaican international midfielder Andy Williams by handing him a trial at The City Ground.

The 23-year-old has also attracted the attentions of First Division rivals Birmingham City, who have also offered him a trial at St Andrews.

The Miami Fusion star is available on a free transfer and reports in America say that he is almost certain to move to England, possibly within the next month.

The attacking midfielder was spotted by Forest boss David Platt during the club's trip to Miami and he is hoping that Williams will relish the chance to link up with his old Cloumbus Crew team-mate Stern John.

Williams has a good scoring record from midfield, which includes 52 goals for the University of Rhode Island.
