TOWN BAG CITY STRIKER

HALIFAX TOWN have completed their second signing in 24 hours with the arrival of Manchester City striker Leon Mike on a month`s loan.

The 19-year-old reserve team striker has joined fellow new signing Rob Matthews in the squad for Saturday`s game against Mansfield.

Mike is very highly rated by manager Joe Royle, and he is unlikely to allow the deal to become permanent, but the experience should be invaluable for the youngster who is cousin to former City ace Adie.

Town manager Paul Bracewell has been using the loan system to his benefit this season, having already had Sunderland`s Neil Wainwright and Middlesbrough starlet Stuart Parnaby at the Shay on a temporary basis this term.
