GRONKJAER BLASTS AJAX
The Danish international made his feelings known in an interview with Dutch magazine Sportweek, in which he said: "The idea that a club can just push you away is gross. And then they get credit for it also."
The disgruntled Dane revealed that the club did not tell him about the proposed move to England personally, and that he had to hear the news from his girlfriend.
"When I got home, she was sitting on the couch with a pale face. I heard what happened and also started shaking," he added. "I called my agent, but he also knew nothing. I never expected Ajax would do such things."
After protracted negotiations, the wide man, signed for Claudio Ranieri`s West Londoners, despite carrying an injury when the transfer was announced.
Gronkjaer has been in outstanding form since breaking into the starting line-up, and he bagged two goals in the recent FA Cup triumph at Gillingham.
