CAFU ADMITS CHELSEA TALKS
The Brazilian World Cup winner revealed in a television interview that he had held talks with the West London club about a move, but that nothing was agreed as yet.
"It is not a done deal yet, but the club have made contact," said Cafu. "My agent Rafale Del Grande is coming to Rome this week in order to discuss my contract with Franco Sensi (Roma president).
"I can confirm that Chelsea are linking me with a move, but there are other teams as well. My contract with AS Roma runs out in two years and it is up to chairman Sensi and my agent to decide my destiny."
The Italian league leaders do not want to lose the 30-year-old attacking full back, who has established himself as one of the Giallorossi's key performers since joining from Palmeiras in 1997.
Cafu will get to see what the English game will have in store for him should he join The Blues when he lines up for Roma in their Uefa Cup tie with Liverpool.
His proposed arrival at Stamford Bridge would raise question marks over the future of Albert Ferrer at the club
