IVANO AND BENI AT CROSSROADS

DUNDEE boss Ivano Bonetti has confirmed speculation linking him with a move for Bradford City's Benito Carbone.

Bonetti admitted that he would like to sign the Italian playmaker but also admitted that cash could prove to be a major stumbling block.

After discussing the possibility of Carbone moving north, the former Juventus star said that it would be "a dream come true" to sign the player.

"He is a player I know and a player that I like and if there was the slightest chance that I could bring him to Dens Park then I would like to do that.

"It would be a dream come true," Bonetti continued, "contact has been made but certain significant issues have to be resolved. Equally, just now defensive players are more of a priority."

St Mirren have also expressed an interest in signing Carbone, with manager Tom Hendrie admitting his interest after earlier denying reports linking him to the Bradford player.

"I made an enquiry but when we heard his wages we could maybe have taken him on loan for a week!" quipped the Saints boss.
