MEERDINK DEAL AGREED
The 24-year-old has earned rave reviews for his performances in the Eredivisie this season, and Udinese have decided to swoop for the midfielder.
De Graafschap director general Jacco Swart confirmed the move was close, saying: "The clubs have agreed on the most important issues."
The transfer is not set in stone, though, as the 24-year-old will travel to Udine to take a look before deciding on the four-year deal that is on the table.
Meerdink currently has a shin injury, but this is unlikely to hinder his move to Serie A.
The sale will be a huge blow to the Dutch club, as they are in the middle of a relegation battle in the Eredivisie.
